Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
to our Ill, Hospitalized & Homebound
The Ascension Care Ministry is blessed with many amazing volunteers. We share the spirit of Eucharist as a sign of God’s love for each of us. Our work includes providing Holy Communion to the sick in their homes, hospitals, retirement communities, care facilities and foster homes. This requires the efforts of many. If you would like to consider joining our team, please contact Sharon Grigar for more information.
Bereavement Ministry
We are called to “care for the dying, to pray for our dead and to comfort those who mourn.” We support our families by planning funeral celebrations and receptions.
Prayer Circle
We have a small group of pray-ers to pray regarding requests sent to us. This group is a supported through online communication where we can share prayer, our thoughts and wishes with each other. We respect the confidentiality of all requests.
Funeral Receptions
Many families would like to have a reception following the funeral of their loved one. Volunteers are needed to set up, serve, and clean up for these gatherings. Please contact Licenia Eufragio if you would like more information about volunteering in this important ministry.
